This draft privacy policy is provided for the pre-launch GreenLight Outdoors website and should be reviewed before public App Store release. Green Light Outdoors LLC (“GreenLight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of hunters who use our website and future mobile applications.
Information we may collect
Depending on the services you choose to use, GreenLight may collect account information, email address, approximate or precise location when you grant permission, property and stand locations you enter, app usage information, device information, subscription status, hunt journal entries, sightings, and other information you voluntarily provide.
How we use information
We may use information to provide movement forecasts and stand recommendations, sync your account, deliver notifications you request, improve the product, understand feature usage, prevent abuse, provide customer support, and comply with legal obligations.
Property and hunt data
We treat property locations, stand locations, access routes, and private hunt data as sensitive product information. We do not intend to sell personally identifiable property or hunt-location data to data brokers or advertisers.
Research and model improvement
If GreenLight uses aggregated or de-identified hunt outcomes to evaluate and improve prediction models, we will disclose that use in the app and provide controls where required. De-identified information will not be intended to identify a hunter or reveal a private hunting property.
Location permissions
GreenLight may request location permission to provide local weather, sunrise/sunset information, mapping, and hunt recommendations. You may control location permissions through your device settings.
Third-party services
GreenLight may use third-party infrastructure for weather, mapping, analytics, cloud hosting, authentication, subscription processing, and crash reporting. Those providers may process limited information necessary to provide their services under their own terms and privacy practices.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
GreenLight is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
You may be able to update account information, manage notification and location permissions, cancel subscriptions through Apple, and request access to or deletion of certain account data as required by applicable law.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The current version and effective date will be posted here.
